Intro

A garden to impress part built on a concrete podium! A contemporary twist on a classical style complemented the complete house renovation.

The Design

Inspired by their visit to the Palace of Versaille the clients wanted the house to have a French style large scale formality with formal walkway vistas leading to water features and immaculate parterres set around a formal lawn. Parts of the garden are built on underground cellars so parterres are raised using sand stone walling. New stone walls integrating lighting enclose the garden on both sides. The garden creates a spectacular setting to the mansion and offers stunning views over the verdant rolling landscape to the south.
